Laundry Time

I have confirmed it. I am a hillbilly. I might live in a city/suburbia type location, but I have hillbilly running through my veins. I look out onto my back deck and see two racks loaded with diapers. This would be okay, if it weren't for the fact that tons of people can see them at any given time and my deck is the only one littered with things that can be worn on your bottom! All this introduction to say that I have a new favorite laundry soap. My friend gave me the recipe and she got it from who knows where. All the odors are gone and it is not laden with nasty chemicals. So I want to share it with you.

Homemade Laundry Powder:  grate four cups of soap. I used a great tea tree castile. Add to this six cups of borax, four cups of washing soda, and four cups of baking soda. Mix well and store in an airtight container. It is that easy. The best news is that it is extremely cheap! You only use one-two tablespoons at a time.

Wow! If I had only knew this one sooner, I would not have monkeyed around with making the liquid kind. Happy Laundry Day!
